Quentin Tarantino, renowned filmmaker, revealed his lack of enthusiasm for directing a sequel to 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,' causing him to step away from the director's chair. However, he confirmed that he would provide his expertise during production should the team require it.
Released in 2019, 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' boasted an impressive ensemble cast, including Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. The film achieved significant success, grossing over USD 392 million globally. Tarantino, looking toward retirement, expressed his desire for his final film to be an original, uncharted venture.
Lauding David Fincher, who will direct the sequel, Tarantino emphasized his appreciation for Fincher's willingness to adapt his work. Meanwhile, the filmmaker shared his ambitions for a scrapped project titled 'The Movie Critic,' which was intended to gauge interest in seemingly mundane professions, though it had no overlap with his previous characters.
