Bhoomi 2025: Salim-Sulaiman's Musical Tapestry of Tradition and Innovation

In an ambitious fusion of tradition and modernity, renowned music composers Salim and Sulaiman have launched the latest iteration of their annual musical series, 'Bhoomi'. Originating in 1999 and reignited in 2020, the project returns with a new lineup of diverse musical styles and collaborations for 2025.
Bhoomi 2025 boasts an impressive ensemble, featuring a variety of styles, from a Gujarati Krishna pop track with Parthiv Gohil to a high-energy dance number starring Sonu Nigam and Paradox. Other notable collaborations include a classical pop piece with Shankar Mahadevan, a romantic ballad with Shaan, and a soulful love song with Papon and Shreya Ghoshal.
According to Sulaiman Merchant, curating Bhoomi is driven by instinct and curiosity, rather than conforming to a single musical genre. "We've always explored different sounds, ranging from folk, pop, hip hop, to EDM," he stated. Salim added, "Our music is the result of a collective effort, ignoring distinctions between legends and newcomers, reflecting both tradition and contemporary tastes."
