Reviving Chotelal Ki Ghat: Heritage Restoration Initiative
Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has partnered with Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, to restore the historic Chotelal Ki Ghat. Supported by INTACH, the initiative includes conservation and landscaping, benefiting local artists and boosting tourism. IHCL will invest Rs 5 crore over three years for this heritage project.

Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata to restore the historic Chotelal Ki Ghat along the Hooghly riverfront.
This ambitious project, endorsed by heritage conservation organization INTACH, is set to receive an investment of nearly Rs 5 crore from IHCL's CSR initiative over a span of three years.
The Grade I heritage site, dating back to the 1870s, will undergo conservation, beautification, and landscaping efforts aimed at benefiting local artists, vendors, residents, and tourists, while preserving the ghat's cultural significance.
