In a bid to strengthen Uttar Pradesh's position in the global textile market, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled plans to establish textile and apparel parks named after Sant Kabir. The initiative focuses on boosting skill development and employment in the state.
Speaking in a high-level review meeting, Adityanath emphasized the state's rich textile heritage, poised to leverage the projected USD 2.3 trillion global textile market by 2030. The scheme, inspired by Sant Kabir's values, aims to balance tradition and modernity, encouraging investment and job creation.
Current data highlights Uttar Pradesh's significant contribution to India's textile exports, with parks set to cover 50 acres each, featuring essential facilities. Implemented via a PPP model, the initiative aims to expedite development, reduce production costs for weavers, and promote Uttar Pradesh as a textile hub.
