In an innovative approach to crowd management, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has partnered with ISRO to count the number of devotees attending the upcoming Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams using satellite technology.
The annual festivities, slated from September 24 to October 2 in Tirumala, will see Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu presenting silk clothes and participating in the Pedda Sesha Vahanam. The TTD is enhancing security with additional CCTV cameras and geo-tagging, ensuring children are safe and power supply is uninterrupted.
Special darshans are limited to protocol dignitaries during the Brahmotsavams, with extensive floral decorations and LED setups planned for global live telecast. The TTD plans to distribute eight lakh laddus daily and four lakh buttermilk packets on Garuda Seva day. Construction of new temples and strict legal action against misinformation also feature in TTD's agenda.
