Odisha's Green Tribute on Modi's 75th Birthday

In a significant gesture to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, the Odisha government embarked on an ambitious plantation drive, with a target of planting 75 lakh saplings across the state. By noon, over 32.85 lakh saplings had already been planted on Wednesday, highlighting the community's commitment.

The massive undertaking is part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. Participants are encouraged to upload images of their efforts on the 'Meri LiFE' portal, ensuring transparent progress tracking. Political figures, including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, actively participated in the campaign by planting trees.

Parallel to the plantation drive, a cleanliness initiative under the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign was also organized. The event saw participation from several BJP leaders, who contributed to cleaning efforts across Bhubaneswar. Describing the day as a moment of 'national pride,' Majhi fondly recalled Modi's previous visit, underscoring the event's significance.
