In a significant move to honor Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha inaugurated the state-level 'Swachhata Hi Seva' programme at Rabindra Bhavan.
CM Saha emphasized the importance of cleanliness by mentioning efforts from the Agartala Municipal Corporation in waste management. He urged the community to focus not just on cleanliness in their surroundings but also on purifying their inner selves.
The programme is set against a backdrop of celebrations from September 17 to October 2, aligning with Modi's 'Swachhata Abhiyan' initiated in 2014. Several dignitaries, including Panchayat Minister Kishor Barman and MP Biplab Kumar Deb, attended the event.
