The Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi came alive with festivities on Wednesday as it celebrated 'Yatri Seva Diwas' in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. Passengers were given a warm welcome with rose buds, while traditional Jharkhand folk dances performed by local artistes added a cultural flavor to the day.
Directed by the ministry of civil aviation, the airport hosted a series of events such as the symbolic tilak ceremony and environmental initiatives like the planting of 25 saplings as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa ke Naam' project. The day also saw the inauguration of a blood donation camp by airport director RR Maurya, aimed at staff and volunteers.
Aimed at raising awareness about civil aviation among the youth, the airport organized familiarization programs and career guidance sessions for students. Additionally, a quiz and painting competition on aviation themes engaged school students, highlighting the vast opportunities within the aviation industry.
