Vishal Jethwa's 'Homebound' Celebrates India's Artistic Triumph at Oscars

Actor Vishal Jethwa expressed overwhelming joy after his film "Homebound" was declared India's official entry for the Best International Feature Film at the upcoming 98th Academy Awards.

The movie, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan with powerhouse performances from Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, is also backed by the legendary Martin Scorsese as an executive producer.

"Homebound" is inspired by Basharat Peer's The New York Times article, chronicling the heartfelt friendship between a Muslim and Dalit navigating societal hurdles. The film debuted to critical acclaim and won various awards globally, solidifying its position on the world cinema stage.
