Historic Tripureswari Temple Unveiled After Grand Redevelopment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly redeveloped Tripureswari temple in Tripura's Gomati district, offering prayers at the historic site. The ceremony was attended by Governor N Indrasena Reddy, Chief Minister Manik Saha, and other senior government officials.
Despite the sweltering heat, thousands gathered outside the 500-year-old temple to witness the event and catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister. The Tripureswari temple is renowned as one of the 51 'Shakti Peethas', significant in India's spiritual geography.
The temple was initially constructed by 'Maharaja' Dhanya Manikya in 1501. Its recent redevelopment, costing Rs 52 crore, was carried out under the Centre's PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive) scheme, aimed at enhancing spiritual sites across India.
