Kerala's Vidyarambham: Toddlers Embark on Educational Journey

Thousands of toddlers were initiated into the world of letters across Kerala during the Vidyarambham ritual on Vijayadasami day, concluding the nine-day Navratri festival. This ceremonial tradition marks the beginning of formal education for many young children.

Notable personalities, including Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Opposition Leader V D Satheesan, participated in this cultural event. They introduced children to learning by guiding them to write their first sacred letters, 'Hari Sree Ganapathaye Namaha,' at temples and cultural centers statewide.

The event attracted large crowds, particularly at well-known temples like Panachikkadu Saraswathi Temple and Dakshina Mookambika Temple, with families gathering from the early hours to take part in this significant cultural ritual.
