India Honored with Prestigious ISSA Award for Social Security Achievements

The ISSA Award, presented triennially at the World Social Security Forum, highlights India's advancements in inclusive and universal social protection, a vision driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya accepted the award, underscoring India's leap in social security coverage from 19% to 64.3% over the past decade.
India's strategy leverages technology and comprehensive reforms, integrating various schemes to form a robust social safety net. Initiatives like PM POSHAN, Janani Suraksha Yojana, PM-KISAN, and the National Old Age Pension Scheme exemplify this integrated approach, ensuring comprehensive support for citizens at all life stages.
