Delhi Government Seeks Supreme Court Nod for Green Diwali

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has revealed that her administration will file a petition with the Supreme Court seeking approval to allow the use of green firecrackers during Diwali celebrations in the capital.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining environmental safeguards while incorporating public participation and adherence to certified standards for using green firecrackers.
Gupta assured that her government is committed to pollution control and expressed readiness to comply with any directives issued by the Supreme Court. At present, a blanket ban on all firecrackers remains in place in Delhi according to court orders.
