New Developments in Zubeen Garg's Mysterious Death Case
The Assam Police is intensifying its investigation into singer Zubeen Garg's death in Singapore. New summonses are being issued to 10 people associated with Assam Association Singapore for failing to meet the initial inquiry deadline. Garg died in suspicious circumstances while attending an event in Singapore.

The investigation into the mysterious death of singer Zubeen Garg in Singapore is gaining momentum as the Assam Police has announced plans to issue fresh summonses to 10 individuals linked with the Assam Association Singapore. Only one of the initially summoned NRIs appeared before the police, failing to meet the October 6 deadline.
According to CID Special DGP Munna Prasad Gupta, legal procedures are being followed to ensure all absentees comply. Rupkamal Kalita, one of the summoned individuals, has undergone extensive interrogation exceeding 24 hours. Garg's death occurred during a swimming incident on September 19, triggering suspicion.
Authorities have already detained key figures such as North East India Festival's chief organiser and the singer's manager. In addition, Zubeen's cousin, a deputy superintendent of police in Assam, has been arrested for being present on the yacht at the time of the incident, raising further eyebrows.
