Mewati singer Aslam has been arrested for allegedly promoting gun culture and extortion through a song he uploaded on YouTube. The artist, 25, received a 14-day judicial custody sentence from a Nuh court, as police continue their investigation.
The song in question was uploaded to the 'Aslam Singer Zamindar Topic' YouTube channel, and reportedly glorifies illegal weapons and criminal activities in a menacing manner. The complaint, filed by an official from the Nuh cyber police's social media cell, led to Aslam's arrest following an FIR registration.
Nuh police have not excluded the possibility of further arrests in relation to this case as their investigation progresses. Police spokespersons have confirmed that they are looking into all potential leads.
