Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), marked his farewell tour at the Southern Naval Command (SNC) in Kochi by participating in various official events, according to a defense spokesperson. The visit, taking place from April 19 to 21, commenced with a ceremonial Guard of Honour at INS Garuda.

In addition to meeting with personnel, Admiral Tripathi took part in the annual communication conference uniting serving and retired communicators of the Indian Navy. Discussions at the event focused on operational insights, and future strategies in communication and electronic warfare.

Tripathi also visited his alma mater, the Signal School, where he inaugurated a motivation hall-cum-museum. Furthermore, he interacted with naval officers during a Fireside Chat and attended the Navy Foundation's meeting to discuss veteran welfare. Highlights of the visit included a shooting demonstration and the inauguration of new facilities at Kochi.
