The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2026 edition is set to unfold in Asia during August-September, as per founder-director Andre Timmins. The event aims at international collaboration by hosting digital awards, masterclasses, and an international best film category akin to the Oscars.
Celebrating its 25th year in Jaipur, IIFA remains committed to taking Indian cinema global. This year's agenda introduces new initiatives like IIFA Connects and digital awards, with Anil Kapoor tipped for IIFA Honours. Veteran actor Dharmendra may receive a tribute screening of classics like 'Sholay'.
Reflecting on the company's history, Timmins recalled Michael Jackson's 1996 visit to India, highlighting his significant cultural impact. Wizcraft plans to screen the Michael Jackson film 'Michael' this April, starring the late singer's nephew, Jaafar Jackson.
