Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Leh on April 30 for a significant two-day visit, as announced by Ladakh Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena. Shah will pay tribute to the sacred relics of Lord Buddha on the occasion of Buddha Purnima, May 1.
The visit marks a commitment by the Indian government to foster developmental initiatives in the region, underscoring the spiritual and cultural importance of the event. The sacred relics, excavated from Piprahwa, Uttar Pradesh, will be displayed at Jive Tsal, Choglamsar.
Starting from May 1, the relics will be available for public exposition until May 14, marking a historic first for Leh. This occasion emphasizes the significance of spiritual events in bolstering regional development efforts.
