An unsettling incident has taken place in southeastern Bangladesh, where a Hindu temple caretaker, Nayan Sadhu, has been discovered dead, hanging from a tree. This occurred three days after he vanished, sparking calls for justice from minority groups.

Nayan Sadhu, a 40-year-old resident of the Dohazari area in Chhattogram district, served at a temple in the Khurushkul union of Cox's Bazar. Eyewitnesses report two unidentified men last seen accompanying him. His decomposing body was later found in a hilly area outside the village, prompting suspicions of foul play.

The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council (BHBCUC) has issued a statement demanding severe consequences for those responsible, condemning the incident as a possible hate crime. The police, who have yet to determine the cause of death, are continuing their investigation following a missing person's report filed earlier by Sadhu's wife.
