The Tuljabhawani Temple in Maharashtra holds significant amounts of gold and silver. As of March 31, it possessed 253 kilograms of gold and over 4,600 kilograms of silver. Donations of gold and silver have fluctuated over recent years, with a decrease in gold and an increase in silver donations recorded in 2025-26.
The Tuljabhawani Temple in Maharashtra's Dharashiv district revealed its substantial precious metal holdings, totaling 253 kilograms of gold and over 4,614 kilograms of silver as of this March. The report came from the Tuljabhawani Temple Trust on Monday.
According to the trust's documentation, the temple saw an influx of 16.49 kilograms of gold and 260.66 kilograms of silver for the financial year 2023-24. Notably, during 2024-25, gold donations reached 17.62 kilograms, and silver contributions slightly decreased to 255.99 kilograms.
In contrast, the 2025-26 fiscal year marked a shift with gold donations dropping to 10.78 kilograms, while silver increased to 267.26 kilograms. Known for its cultural and religious significance, Tuljabhawani Temple is closely connected to the Bhosale family, descendants of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
