Amid escalating concerns, another suicide tragedy has struck the National Institute of Technology in Kurukshetra. A mess employee, Kaushal from Uttar Pradesh, was found dead on campus on Monday, adding to a worrying number of similar incidents in recent months.
This marks the fifth suicide at the institute within three months, following four students who reportedly took their own lives. The disturbing series of events has prompted inquiries by both the Haryana Human Rights Commission and an internal committee.
Kaushal, reported to have struggled with alcohol addiction, was absent from work the previous day. As investigations continue, questions remain about the mental health environment on campus, triggering calls for immediate interventions.
