IIP's Diamond Jubilee: Celebrating Six Decades of Packaging Innovation

Mumbai, May 2026: Celebrating six decades of pioneering strides, the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) will observe its Foundation Day and inaugurate its Diamond Jubilee Year on 14th May 2026 in Mumbai. Established under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the institute has significantly propelled India's packaging innovation, sustainability, and education efforts.

The event, graced by Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Shri Jitin Prasada, will underscore the strategic importance of IIP's contribution. It will also feature the release of a commemorative postal stamp and a potential collaboration with FDDI.

In addition to honoring past achievements, the celebrations will look forward to future innovations in smart packaging, the circular economy, and sustainable materials, reinforcing India's ambition as a leader in the global packaging landscape.
