Penpa Tsering, head of the Tibetan government-in-exile, emphasized his ongoing commitment to the 'Middle Way Policy' formulated by the Dalai Lama for peaceful resolution of disputes with China, as he was sworn in for another term.

During a speech in McLeod Ganj, Tsering accused China of attempts to erode Tibetan identity and emphasized the importance of unity among Tibetans. He asserted that dialogue with China would continue until a peaceful resolution is reached, while advocating for the preservation of Tibetan language, culture, and religion.

The Tibetan administration remains focused on the guidance of the Dalai Lama, pursuing political and social programs aimed at sustainable support for their cause. Tsering thanked India, the United States, and others for their support, expressing hope for the future reunification of Tibetans inside and outside Tibet.

A cultural festival celebrating Tibetan heritage is being organized in Dharamshala, highlighting the community's dedication to maintaining its traditions since the arrival of the Dalai Lama in 1959. The Tibetan government-in-exile operates from McLeod Ganj, following the Dalai Lama's transition of political power to democratic leadership.
