In a historic move, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi emerged as a national figure by briefing the media on India's deeply strategic strikes against terror targets inside Pakistan. Her family, rich in military legacy, expressed immense pride, with her father stressing the significance of their daughter's contributions to the nation.

Operation Sindoor, as the operation was named, focused on avenging the brutal Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 civilian lives. Sofiya's mother, Halima Qureshi, highlighted the act as justice for Indian families affected, noting Sofiya's lifelong aspiration to join the armed forces. Her brother shared their surprise at her significant role.

At the Delhi media briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh joined Colonel Qureshi, emphasizing zero civilian harm during nine precise target eliminations. The strikes aimed at notorious facilities like Muridke aimed to disrupt terrorism hubs. These actions represented India's most decisive military intervention in decades.
