In a sweeping administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government on Wednesday announced immediate transfer and posting orders for a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and 55 Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officers. This bureaucratic overhaul aims to optimize governance across the state.
The reshuffle features notable appointments, such as Divya P, an IAS officer from the 2022 batch, now serving as Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Kharar. Lovejeet Kalsi, a PCS officer since 2012, is designated as the Additional State Transport Commissioner for Punjab, addressing a previously vacant position.
Additional assignments include Jai Inder Singh taking on the role of SDM in Phillaur, while Virpal Kaur assumes the SDM and Regional Transport Officer positions in Fazilka. The reshuffle extends across key areas, enhancing administrative efficiency within the state's transport authorities and divisional offices.
