In a significant move against terrorism, India executed 'Operation Sindoor' on Wednesday, targeting key terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This operation was launched following the brutal April 22 attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 civilian lives.
The Ministry of Home Affairs mandated nationwide civil defense drills to evaluate emergency response preparedness. These drills, carried out in major cities, also extend to evaluating coordinated response strategies for security threats.
At a news briefing in New Delhi, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh disclosed that nine terrorist camps were successfully dismantled during the operation, ensuring no civilian harm. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized that the Pahalgam assault sought to disrupt Kashmir's peace and normalcy.
