NCC's Large-Scale Drill Boosts Inter-Agency Preparedness Amidst National Blackouts

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has undertaken an extensive mock drill exercise, collaborating with the Civil Administration and Fire Services Department. The drill, held in six strategic locations across Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, aimed to elevate inter-agency coordination in emergency scenarios.

This significant exercise featured live demonstrations by NCC cadets along with civil and fire service personnel, focusing on crisis management. Colonel Prashant Kumar, Group Commander of the NCC Directorate (AP&T), emphasized the initiative's role in fostering a robust support network, crucial for public service and disaster management.

In a parallel revelation, states across the nation participated in scheduled blackouts as part of a civil defense exercise ordered by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), assessing national emergency preparedness. Coinciding with these efforts was Operation Sindoor, India's targeted strike on terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan, marking a historic military action.
