A fire broke out at the switchyard of the Obra B Thermal Power Station on Thursday morning, leading to a swift response from station officials and safety teams.
As a safety precaution, two units each with a capacity of 200 megawatts were shut down after thick smoke and flames were observed around a transformer. Officials ensured that no power-generating capacity was impacted by the incident, according to Chief General Manager R K Agrawal.
