Operation Sindoor has marked a significant success in the ongoing battle against terrorism, with the Indian Armed Forces dismantling nine terror sites located deep within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK). The early morning precision strikes on Wednesday reportedly eliminated over 100 terrorists, according to Indian security sources.
This extensive military operation was launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, with strikes targeting camps linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen. Of the nine sites, four were within Pakistani territory—Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sarjal, and Mehmoona Joya—while the remaining five were positioned in PoK.
Bahawalpur, a notable target, serves as JeM's operational nucleus, hosting training and indoctrination activities with roots linked to past attacks, including the Pulwama incident. In Muridke, the Markaz Taiba facility acts as LeT's primary training ground and has historic ties to several high-profile attacks, such as Mumbai 26/11. The operation continues to highlight India's strategic efforts to dismantle critical terror infrastructures in the region.
