Tensions between India and Pakistan are on the rise as the Divisional Commissioner in Jammu declared a temporary closure of all educational institutions in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch districts due to the current situation.
Similarly, in Rajasthan's border districts, including Barmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, and Jaisalmer, schools have announced a holiday until further notice following India's recent military operation, 'Sindoor'. This operation destroyed nine locations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and inside Pakistan, eliminating more than 100 terrorists and retaliating for the Pahalgam attack.
India's Armed Forces thwarted a large-scale assault from Pakistan involving drones and missiles aimed at Indian military bases on May 7-8. During a briefing, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Ministry of External Affairs revealed that India's air defenses neutralized the threats and counterattacked by targeting Pakistani air defense radars and systems.
