Amidst preparations for the upcoming kharif sowing season, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled a sweeping 15-day initiative aimed at educating millions of farmers across India about cutting-edge agricultural technologies and seed varieties.

Launching May 29, the 'Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan' will advocate for the use of climate-resilient seed varieties and promote awareness about critical agricultural policies, including the availability of fertilizers and monsoon predictions.

In anticipation of amending the Seeds Act of 1966, this initiative will involve 2,000 specialized teams engaging directly with a target of reaching between 1 to 1.5 crore farmers, supported by the collaborative efforts of state governments and agricultural scientists.
