In a statement on Thursday, Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister G Ravi Kumar leveled accusations at YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging he spreads misleading information regarding the state's power sector under the TDP-led NDA governance.
Kumar criticized Reddy's claims about power deals with Axis and Brookfield companies, stating inaccuracies such as the purported purchase price of Rs 2.49 per unit, which he argues rises to over Rs 5 per unit due to transmission losses and additional costs.
Highlighting benefits of Axis Energy's 400 MW project in Rayalaseema, Kumar mentioned job creation, annual payments to farmers, and GST contributions, while blaming past YSRCP governance for high power costs and tariffs, emphasizing stability efforts under the current administration.
