The Adani Group, led by Gautam Adani, has entered a strategic partnership with Bhutan's Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) to develop hydropower projects totaling 5,000 megawatts in the Himalayan nation.
This landmark agreement, formalized in Thimphu, was signed by DGPC's Managing Director Dasho Chhewang Rinzin and Adani Green Hydro Ltd's Chief Operating Officer Naresh Telgu, witnessed by Bhutan's Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay and Energy Minister Lyonpo Gem Tshering.
The partnership expands on the ongoing Wangchhu Hydropower Project collaboration. Aimed at enhancing regional energy security and exporting renewable energy to India, the initiative underscores the strong bilateral ties between Bhutan and India, epitomizing cross-border sustainable development collaboration.
