The escalating tensions between India and Pakistan have prompted the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to postpone the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course Examinations originally set for May 9-14, 2025, citing security concerns.
Additionally, security measures have intensified at Shri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport in Amritsar, with operations halted and only essential personnel permitted entry, according to ACP Airport Yadwinder Singh. Policing efforts have increased, and local villagers have been briefed on safety protocols.
In a significant move, the Indian Army dismantled over 50 Pakistani drones near the Line of Control and International Borders during a large-scale counter-drone operation. Authorities in Amritsar have advised residents to stay indoors with lights off and curtains drawn as precautionary measures continue.
