In a demonstration of unity and support, Telangana Jagruthi President K Kavitha led a solidarity march through Hyderabad on Friday, rallying in favor of the Indian Armed Forces amid mounting tensions with Pakistan. Marchers displayed Indian flags and placards and chanted 'Vande Mataram' in a show of patriotism.

The Ministry of External Affairs issued a stern condemnation of Pakistan, accusing it of deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure such as schools and places of worship. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri denounced Pakistan's actions, particularly the shelling of gurdwaras, churches, and temples along the Line of Control (LoC), calling them 'a new low even for Pakistan.'

During a press briefing, Misri recounted the tragic incident where a shell from Pakistan landed near Christ School in Poonch during heavy shelling on May 7, resulting in the deaths of two students and injuries to their parents. Misri emphasized that places of worship were being targeted with intent, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

The tensions were further inflamed following India's launch of Operation Sindoor on May 7. This large-scale military operation targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as a retaliatory move in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 civilian lives.

Considered one of the deepest strikes inside Pakistan's undisputed territory since 1971, Operation Sindoor marked a significant escalation by New Delhi in its efforts to dismantle terror networks, representing a notable military milestone after more than fifty years.
