Reliance Power's Solar Surge: Leading India's Energy Transition

Reliance Power, through its arm Reliance NU Energies, has made significant strides in India's renewable energy sector by securing a 350 MW solar project integrated with a 175 MW/700 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) from SJVN Ltd.

The groundbreaking project, achieved through a competitive tariff of Rs 3.33 per kWh fixed for 25 years, underscores Reliance Power's strategic shift towards renewable energy. Once operational, it will add a substantial 600 MWp of solar PV capacity and 700 MWh of energy storage to their portfolio.

This move positions Reliance Power as India's largest player in the integrated Solar + BESS market, marking a pivotal step in their clean energy journey. Their latest win aligns with the trend of oversubscription in renewable tenders, highlighting industry interest in solutions offering reliable energy supply.
