In a notable move towards sustainability, Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena laid the foundation stone for a new 500 kW solar power plant at the Delhi Assembly on Monday. Joining him were Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Speaker Vijender Gupta, alongside other prominent officials and MLAs.
This new installation, which aims to amplify the Assembly's commitment to green energy, will supplant the existing 200 kW solar system. Scheduled for completion in 45 days, the project promises to enhance the Assembly's solar energy capabilities significantly.
The innovative project, poised to eliminate electricity bills, anticipates saving Rs 15 lakh monthly while reducing the Assembly's carbon footprint. The initiative underscores a progressive step towards a cleaner environment, illustrating a commendable blend of innovation and environmental stewardship.
