The Communist Party of India's General Secretary, D Raja, urged the government on Monday to convene a special session of Parliament focused on three major issues: the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, and India's agreement with Pakistan on ceasing hostilities. Raja emphasized the need for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clarify these matters publicly.

The demand arose from a lack of public insight into the mediations and discussions involved, as Raja insisted on transparency. He stated, "We are demanding that Prime Minister Modi should take the people and the country into confidence and tell the truth," highlighting the need for Modi to address the Parliament, the cornerstone of India's democracy.

In contrast, BJP MP Sambit Patra commended the Indian Armed Forces for Operation Sindoor during a briefing at the BJP headquarters. He noted that PM Modi had vowed to avenge the Pahalgam attack, and the precision strikes on May 7 achieved this, dismantling nine terror camps linked to various extremist groups, including Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
