Eight probationary Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers from the 2024 batch, who are currently assigned to different districts in Gujarat, made a formal courtesy call on Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar. Officials confirmed that these officers are designated as Supernumerary Assistant Collectors in districts like Kheda, Amreli, Kutch, Rajkot, Bharuch, Tapi, Banaskantha, and Panchmahal.

Before assuming their roles in these districts, the probationary officers shared their enthusiasm and readiness to serve while Patel provided mentorship. In his address, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel emphasized the unique opportunity these young leaders have in contributing to the state of Gujarat, dubbed a role model for national growth, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. He expressed optimism about their potential to drive development in 'Viksit Gujarat' for a 'Viksit Bharat' during the Amrit Kaal.

The meeting was also attended by key figures such as Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister M.K. Das, Principal Secretary of the Administrative Reforms and Training Division Hareet Shukla, and Secretary to the Chief Minister Avantika Singh, adding depth and scope to the discussions.
