In a significant move, cooperative giant IFFCO has commenced commercial production of nano liquid di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) at two high-capacity plants in Uttar Pradesh, aiming to revolutionize the fertiliser industry.
Each plant, located in Aonla, Bareilly, and Phulpur, Prayagraj, can produce 2 lakh bottles daily, significantly boosting the availability of this innovative fertiliser to farmers nationwide. This expansion brings IFFCO's total production capacity of nano fertilizers to 9.5 lakh bottles daily, encompassing both nano urea and nano DAP.
According to IFFCO, nano DAP offers a more effective alternative to traditional DAP due to its sub-100 nanometer particles, which enhance soil nutrient uptake, improve crop growth, and increase yield. This comes after the successful launch of the world's first nano liquid urea in 2021 and follows substantial investment in these groundbreaking products.
