In a spirited observance of the 11th International Day of Yoga, approximately 1,000 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets assembled in Ahmedabad on Friday, showcasing the importance of yoga in their training regimen. The event underscored yoga's role in fostering the physical and mental preparedness vital for cadets aspiring to serve in defence roles.

Cadet Raksha Bhadauria highlighted yoga's integral role in building inner strength, a necessity for maintaining focus and resilience in challenging scenarios. "Through yoga, we hope to send a message of wellness and strength," she told ANI, affirming yoga's benefits in preparing cadets for future responsibilities.

Complementing these sentiments, Cadet Nandana Nair emphasized yoga's accessibility. "Yoga, a practical and simple practice, enhances peace of mind and strength without the need for a gym," she observed. Colonel GS Vidyarthi, Commanding Officer of 1 Gujarat Battalion, stated that the cadets' enthusiastic participation symbolizes a message of fitness and well-being to society.

Established in 2014, the International Day of Yoga celebrates global unity and health. This year's theme, "Yoga for One Earth, One Health," reflects a commitment to sustainability, resonating with the ideals of India's G20 vision. The event illustrates a broader commitment to holistic wellness and environmental harmony.
