Global Embrace: International Yoga Day Unites Under Modi’s Vision

Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts to propagate Indian values, as International Yoga Day enjoys global celebration and practice. Singh highlighted the significance of these worldwide observances as a testament to Modi's initiatives in promoting Indian principles across international borders.

Speaking from the Yoga event held at Indoor Stadium Ramnagar in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district, Singh emphasized the extensive participation seen in the celebrations of International Day of Yoga 2025. Visuals from the event depicted Singh engaging in a series of stretching and breathing exercises. Earlier, various leaders, including state Chief Ministers and Union Ministers, joined community members nationwide, highlighting PM Modi's campaign for health and well-being through yoga.

Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya also extended greetings, urging regular practice of yoga to maintain health. He remarked, "Yoga is integral to our culture and should be a part of daily life." PM Modi, addressing the international community, called for adopting yoga as a global responsibility, fostering unity and peace. Celebrating the proposal made at the United Nations in 2014 to recognize June 21 as International Yoga Day, Modi noted its widespread acceptance and yoga's emergence as a symbol of harmony.
