In an emblematic display of unity and peace, the 11th International Yoga Day unfolded at Srinagar's historic Lal Chowk. Once a symbol of strife, the location hosted a broad yoga event under the leadership of Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. Highlighting the transformative power of yoga, Sharma remarked on the gathering's capacity to foster unity among the region's diverse communities.

Elsewhere, Indian Army troops from the Krishna Ghati Brigade's Balnoi Battalion organized a yoga session in Poonch, drawing enthusiastic participation from local border communities. Mohamed Ashraf Chaudhary, a resident, expressed gratitude towards the army's role in both defending the borders and nurturing community ties, noting this as the largest event since Operation Sindoor.

On a parallel note, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led Yoga Day festivities in Udhampur, lauding the military's valor and underscoring yoga's vital role in combating modern stress. Embracing the theme 'Yoga for one Earth, one health,' Singh emphasized India's vision of global unity, participating in cultural celebrations with army personnel.
