Marking the 11th International Day of Yoga, the District Administration of Rajouri orchestrated a comprehensive yoga session, drawing significant participation from residents, especially from border regions. District Sports Officer Wali Mohd expressed high enthusiasm from the community and underscored efforts to introduce yoga in remote areas.

The culmination event at Sports Stadium Kheora followed a series of activities spread across educational zones and tourist locations in Jammu. The theme, "Yoga for One Earth, One Health," resonated with India's holistic vision of wellness. Its emphasis on human and planetary health interconnectedness was at the forefront of activities.

In Srinagar's Lal Chowk, opposition leader Sunil Sharma remarked on yoga's role in promoting unity and peace amidst a historical backdrop of tension. Concurrently, in Poonch, the Indian Army's Krishna Ghati Brigade facilitated yoga sessions with local villages, highlighting the Army's role in community building.

Moin Aftab Khan of Mankot Panchayat expressed pride in local yoga training initiatives, encouraging broader community participation. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led celebrations in Udhampur, emphasizing yoga's benefits in combating global stress and aligning activities with the sustainability theme.

Singh praised the Indian Army's valor during festivities, connecting the event's theme to the global Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, advocating for a united and healthy world family.
