Punjab Police Launches Cybersecurity Kiosk for Malware Detection
The Punjab Police have introduced a new cyber kiosk in Mohali for analyzing malware on mobile devices. This initiative allows citizens to safely scan their phones, USB drives, and external storage. The kiosks provide a quick, secure, and free service, promoting public vigilance against cybercrime.

The Punjab Police made a significant move on Monday by inaugurating a cyber kiosk aimed at enhancing cybersecurity in the state. Situated at the Cybercrime Office in Mohali, this kiosk offers malware analysis for mobile devices.
Designed for Android and iOS phones, as well as USB drives, the self-service kiosk scans and sanitises devices from malicious content. Special DSP V Neeraja highlighted that this is a citizen-focused initiative, operational 24/7, with scanning taking just 2-5 minutes.
SP Jashandeep Singh Gill explained the kiosk's capabilities in identifying device details and conducting comprehensive scans. Developed with NFSU and Arishti Info Labs, the kiosk is accessible to the public, promoting cybersecurity awareness efficiently.
