On the 11th International Yoga Day, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted the significance of incorporating yoga into daily routines, drawing attention to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's strong message about India's yoga tradition. Pradhan emphasized the global recognition of India's yoga heritage in Modi's address from Andhra Pradesh.
Minister Pradhan took to social media platform X to share that yoga, a practice with deep roots in India, has evolved into a worldwide movement. He noted the Prime Minister's initiative in 2014 to establish June 21st as International Yoga Day, a proposal endorsed by over 150 countries, celebrating yoga as a scientific approach to holistic health.
The Ministry of Jal Shakti actively engaged in nationwide celebrations, underscoring a commitment to wellness along with water conservation and river rejuvenation. Key events, including one at the BSF Kayaking Camp by the river Yamuna, achieved high public participation, reflecting a collective spirit and enthusiasm for environmental and personal well-being.
