The Air Force Station in New Delhi served as a hub for the 11th International Day of Yoga, celebrated under the theme 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health'. Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered an inspiring address, advocating global unity and well-being, as the Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel engaged in synchronized yoga postures, reflecting the IAF's motto of 'People First, Mission Always'.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah led celebratory events in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Shah took to social media, extolling the virtues of yoga in melding mind, body, and soul, asserting its pervasive role in today's global lifestyle. In a social media post, he detailed his participation alongside local residents, underscoring yoga's unifying force.
In a spectacular display in Vadnagar, 2121 participants shattered the Guinness World Record for the most people performing the yoga cobra pose simultaneously. Under the watchful eye of Guinness adjudicator Richard Stunning, participants surpassed the minimum requirement, holding the pose for two minutes and nine seconds. The achievement drew accolades, marking a significant milestone in the realm of global athletic records.
