Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, emphasized the profound significance of sports in fostering humanity, unity, and peace at an event commemorating International Olympic Day. Speaking in Dehradun, he reflected on the pride India feels for its athletes, like Neeraj Chopra, and their achievements on the global stage.
Dhami highlighted the contributions of Uttarakhand sportspersons in elevating India's status. He also touched on a discussion with environmentalist Anil Joshi regarding sustainable practices, underscoring the importance of green development in the state.
In spiritual development, the CM lauded the Kedarnath Yatra's impact on both faith and the economy, noting an influx of over 11.4 lakh pilgrims in 48 days. Enhanced infrastructure is credited for this success, making the pilgrimage a beacon of Uttarakhand's prosperity and cultural richness.
