State Bank of India (SBI), the nation's largest lender, announced plans to train all 2.36 lakh employees to deepen their financial understanding. The initiative is in collaboration with FPSB India, incorporating the 'Certified Financial Planner' certification into its learning framework.
Additionally, SBI will host virtual yoga sessions twice weekly to promote overall wellbeing, fostering a mindful work environment. A memorandum of understanding has been signed between SBI and FPSB India, aiming to upskill employees for better customer engagement, particularly with non-resident Indians and high-net-worth individuals.
This move, hailed as a landmark moment for India's financial ecosystem by FPSB India's CEO, Krishan Mishra, also reflects SBI's commitment to holistic employee health, affirmed by virtual yoga sessions engaging 400 employees on International Yoga Day.
