Karnataka Government to Fund Hospitalized Writer's Medical Bills

In a significant show of support, Karnataka's Minister for Welfare of Backwards Classes, Kannada and Culture, Shivaraj Thangadgi, visited esteemed Kannada writer and former MLC, Doddarange Gowda, on Tuesday. Gowda has been hospitalized in the ICU at Gleneagle BGS Hospital, Kengeri, due to a serious illness.
The Minister conveyed the state's decision to cover all medical expenses, ensuring that Gowda receives the necessary treatment without financial constraints. "His medical expenses will be borne entirely by the government," said Minister Thangadgi, demonstrating the government's commitment to supporting cultural icons.
During his visit, Minister Thangadgi met with the medical team attending Gowda and received updates on his health condition. He also assured Gowda's family of the government's unwavering support, recognizing Gowda as a valuable asset to the Kannada cultural domain. (ANI)
